Crossfit + Elevation = WHY?!?!

My first lesson in travel workouts at elevation.

Holy shit.

I pride my self on having some pretty amazing cardio but this 20 minute workout definitely kicked my ass. It was like I couldn’t get air and then I realized oh wait I actually can’t get air.

Thank you 5250ft elevation.

But really, it was fucking amazing. I love (hate) hard shit that makes my lunges burn.

Especially on a Monday to remind me that I have a body and it works and there’s many people who don’t have that luxury.

I think one of the things that I’m going to really enjoy over this next year (or few years? Decade? Life?) of travel is experiencing what Fitness means in other countries.

I cannot wait to crash gyms, Yoga centers , spin classes, Crossfit workouts, and whatever the hell else people around the world do to get and stay and healthy, happy shape.

It’s going to take me a little while to settle into this rhythm I think. Working out how to keep consistent habits and routines as my environment consistently changes.

That’s part of the project, that’s part of the challenge.

It’s not a problem, it’s a game.

It’s a chance to get better at this thing called consistency.

We Have two options in life, we can look at things and allow ourselves to get BITTER (like ugh why do I have to redefine my routine AGAIN?!?) or we can look at things and allow ourselves to get better (ok let’s redefine my routines again!).

The story we tell ourselves, the narrative we live our lives by, that’s 100% on each of us to take responsibility for.

You’re probably like, “yeah right Krissy Krash, whatever, easy for you to say while traveling the world and exploring all kinds of magical bullshit. Life might be a game for you but I’m stuck in my life.”

But here’s the thing, I didn’t get here by pouting at home.

I didn’t get here by asking “why does everything have to be so hard?”

10 years ago I was a broke substitute teacher, 60k in debt, with no plan. Now I am debt free and traveling the world and changing lives every day with Krash Course.

I didn’t get here by accepting my current circumstances.

I got here by deciding what I wanted and working my fucking ass off for it.

Putting in 12 hours days, saying no to things when all my friends were saying yes.

I knew where I wanted to go, who I wanted to be, how I wanted to live.

And you can do that too, for whatever it is you want in life, you have the opportunity to GO FOR IT.

TO GROW FOR IT.

To chase it down.

Because it is the pursuit, not the victory that is where true joy lives.
